Job Description

Vessel Manager, Copenhagen, Permanent, Office Based

WRS is looking for a Vessel Manager for a global shipping company in Denmark for one of the world's biggest offshore windfarm installation vessels.

The job
As a Vessel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our assets are maintained according to class and other statutory requirements. The vessel manager will be expected to closely interact with the project department to ensure technical modifications are closely vetted and solutions to client's requests are delivered with a focus on technical integrity.
This role requires skills in cost effective management of assets in line with the company technical budget, with focus on supplier management

Experience needed:
1.Marine engineer with Chief Engineers background
2.At least 5 years of relevant experience from either onshore or offshore, with a combination preferred.
3.Experience in supervision and safe operation of a state-of-the-art windfarm installation vessel.
4.Specific technical knowledge of jack-up vessels or other special purpose vessels being an advantage
5.The ability to prioritize tasks and maintain rigorous technical discipline to statutory requirement compliance.

Personal skills

1.Strong interpersonal skills required for supporting the teams offshore and cooperating with other internal departments.
2.Experience in budgeting and cost control
3.Experience working in an international environment with multiple stakeholders.
